The Maths Hub offers continuous development and support through the Teaching for Mastery programme, or a precursor to this, via a series of year long Work Group projects are underpinned by some of the 5 Big Ideas (the principles of teaching for mastery). As part of their Work Group learning, teachers will receive an introduction to teaching for mastery pedagogy, providing stepping stones onto a teaching for mastery pathway the following year.

Our Work Groups to support the development of all primary teachers and to enable the teaching for mastery approach in primary schools. The aim of these projects is to enable pupils to develop the deep knowledge and understanding they need to be fully prepared for the secondary mathematics curriculum
